Cold showers, a rumbling tank, a pilot light that won't stay lit, or a tankless unit throwing an error code — a failing water heater rarely fixes itself, and most failures give warning signs first. Our De Soto technicians diagnose both tank and tankless systems on the first visit.
Whatever brand or configuration you have, our De Soto, IA team has likely serviced it before.
A total loss of hot water gets priority routing since it affects daily life immediately.
You'll know the diagnostic and likely repair cost before we open the access panel.
If a repair doesn't make financial sense on an aging unit, we'll say so and give you real numbers on replacement instead of patching something near the end of its life.
These are the water heater problems we diagnose most often across De Soto, IA.
We service both gas and electric tank systems, replacing the specific failed component rather than the whole unit when possible.
Tankless systems need descaling and flow sensor cleaning periodically — we service both the repair and that maintenance.
A pilot light that won't stay lit is usually a failed thermocouple, a straightforward and affordable fix.
A corroded anode rod left unreplaced accelerates tank failure — we check and replace it as part of a full service visit.
We isolate the source of a water heater leak first, since it's not always the tank itself failing.
We carry common elements, thermocouples, and igniters on the truck specifically for same-visit no-hot-water repairs.
A quick call gets a technician scheduled, usually same-day for a total loss of hot water.
Trucks stocked for De Soto, IA's most common brands mean fewer follow-up visits for parts.
The unit is diagnosed, and you'll get a clear repair price — or an honest replacement recommendation if the unit's beyond economical repair.
The repair is completed and tested for proper temperature and pressure, backed by a written parts-and-labor warranty.

We serve De Soto proper and nearby De Soto, IA communities on both tank and tankless systems.
As a general guide, a unit past 10-12 years with a major component failure often makes more sense to replace.
Yes, our De Soto technicians are trained and equipped for both fuel types.
Rumbling is a common early warning sign of sediment buildup, worth addressing before it worsens.
Most single-component repairs, like a thermocouple or heating element, are completed in under two hours.
Tankless systems need different maintenance than tank units, and our technicians are trained specifically for that.
Not always — sometimes it's a fitting or the T&P valve, not the tank itself, and those are repairable.
